CREATIVE SUMMER SCIENCE WORKSHOP 2026
INSTRUCTIONS AND GENERAL CONDITIONS
- The Creative Summer Science Workshop is a programme organised by the Kerala State Science & Technology Museum, Thiruvananthapuram and its sub-centres (Science City, Kottayam and the Regional Science Centre, Chalakudy) for school students during the months of April and May.
- The workshop will be conducted in two batches each for the Senior Category and the Junior Category, with each batch having a duration of 15 days.
- The maximum number of participants for the workshop is limited to 40 candidates per batch at KSSTM, Thiruvananthapuram, 25 candidates per batch at Science City, Kottayam, and 20 candidates per batch at Regional Science Centre, Chalakudy.
- The April Batch is scheduled from 16-04-2026 to 04-05-2026, and the May Batch will be conducted from 08-05-2026 to 26-05-2026.
- The students who are in 4,5,6 standards in 2026-27 academic year (passed in 3,4,5 standards in 2025-26 academic year) are included in Junior category and those who are in 7,8,9 standards in 2026-27 academic year (passed in 6,7,8 standards in 2025-26 academic year) are included in Senior category.
- There will be no screening test for shortlisting candidates. Admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Only one mobile number of the guardian should be provided in the application form for registration. The use of the same mobile number for multiple applications is not permitted.
- The applications are to be submitted online from 30 March 2026 10:00 AM onwards
- Passport size photograph is to be uploaded while submitting the application online (File size maximum 40 KB and 150-pixel width x 200-pixel height maximum)
- Admission slip will be generated upon submitting the application online.
- The course fee for the 15-day programme is ₹2,000 and must be remitted on or before 5:00 PM on 08.04.2026 after online registration at the designated centres. The online registration admission slip shall be produced for the remittance of the fee. Failure to make the payment within the stipulated time will result in the cancellation of admission. No further requests or claims in this regard will be entertained.
- In case of any disputes related to the admission process, the final decision shall be vested with the Director, KSSTM.
- The students who are once allotted in a batch will not be permitted to change the batch.
- The online generated Admission slip, school identity card and receipt of fee are to be produced on the first day of the workshop.
- All procedures including selection, workshops, classes and faculties, seminars etc. of this programme will be subject to the final decision of the Authorities of KSSTM.
- Students who are attending the programme will not be allowed inside the campus before 9.00 AM and after 5.30 PM.
